The Polish Cultural Institute is once again partnering with BAMcinématek to present Kino Polska: New Polish Cinema, a four-day, six-film series showcasing the country's best new films.

The horrors of World War II are glimpsed through the eyes of two teenagersa Polish country boy (Piotrowicz) and a sensitive young German soldier (Nay) in this heartrending, coming-of-age saga. Thrown together by fate, the two young men each confront humanitys darkest depths during a life-changing summer in 1943. Strikingly lensed and psychologically penetrating, Summer Solstice is a shattering portrait of life during wartime. DCP.
